Wang yong, professor, graduated from east China normal university and Thames Valley university, UK. Currently he is the deputy director of Shanghai college English teaching steering committee and a member of the English expert group of Shanghai foreign language interpretation certificate examination committee. He is an expert on the evaluation of the research projects of the humanities and social sciences foundation of the ministry of education of China. Editorial board of teaching English in China. He served as deputy dean of school of foreign languages, east China normal university, deputy dean of school of international business and foreign languages, Shanghai university of international business and economics, tutor of master students, tutor of visiting scholars in China.



Professor wang yong has been engaged in college English teaching and research for more than 40 years. His research interests include applied linguistics and intercultural communication. The main courses for undergraduate and graduate students are intensive English reading, extensive English reading, cross-cultural communication, research on English teaching, second language acquisition and modern English curriculum. Published dozens of papers in core journals (CSSCI) and other academic journals. He has edited and published more than 30 English textbooks including new thinking college English (reading and writing course) (the textbook of the 12th five-year plan). He has edited and published nearly 20 English dictionaries, including the new dictionary of English phrasal verbs. Presided over and participated in more than 30 scientific research projects and curriculum construction projects at all levels.



He has been awarded excellent young teachers in Shanghai universities, excellent teachers in national normal universities, excellent teacher award of zeng xianzi education foundation, excellent teacher award of national baosteel, and excellent teaching achievement award of Shanghai for three times.
